| Description: | In 1962, Bill and Kathy Burnside realized a dream that became Adena Ridge Campground. They took an expansive property where dirt track car racing took place, and turned it into one of Ohio's premiere campgrounds. Many families spent summers there creating good times. Memories of camp fires, square dancing, pony rides, the fishing pond, taking a dip in the swimming hole, and sneaking off to Flat Rocks for a romantic interlude, are still regaled by those who were lucky enough to experience it. On November 30, 2003, half of the team behind Adena Ridge was lost. Bill Burnside passed away suddenly that Sunday, leaving Kathy and Eric to tow the line. Bill will be forever remembered and missed by all who knew him. Since the beginning, Adena Ridge Recreation has provided Fairfield County with the finest Travel Trailers, RVs, Hitches and RV service. In the early 1970's Adena Ridge moved into Lancaster and was located on 6th Avenue. In 1990, Bill and Kathy brought the next generation into Adena Ridge Recreation: Eric and Andrea Burnside. Adena Ridge Recreation is now located on Collins Road, just North of Lancaster. Eric and Andrea are continuing to provide the same quality of service that has made Adena Ridge the finest dealer of RVs, Hitches and Service for the past 30 years in Fairfield County. |
