| Description: | Cliff and Norman Hawley Started Hawley Brothers as a Venetian Blind Manufacturing Shop February 1946 in Dodge City, Kansas. The brothers from Chicago had been discharged from the Army Air Corp and were looking for something to do to support their families. Cliff had been stationed in Dodge City during WWII and felt it was a good place to raise families and start their own business. By 1950, the shop was also building storm windows, awnings & iron railings. Cliff bought out Norman in 1956 and expanded into other products including pick-up caps. Cliff attended a Winnebago Cap Dealer meeting in Forest City, Iowa in 1966, met Winnebago founder John Hanson, and ordered 3 Winnebago Motorhomes. Today, Hawley Bros., Inc. operates the Hawleywood RV Ranch, one of the oldest Winnebago Dealerships in the country.
